Holographic technique

The production of holographic materials involves the entire company structure in different steps:

1) Design creation

Leonardus can create a customised design based on the client's needs and indications, or offers a catalogue of ready-to-use patterns.

2) Creation of the hologram

The transformation of the image into an hologram is done inside our laser laboratory, or with the help of our digital laser system Dot Matrix 1200 DPI.

The image is then repeated on larger plates using a recombining system, to create the final nickel master.

3) Reproduction on plastic film or paper

The nickel masters are then used by embossing machines to incide the plastic film or paper surface and create the final effect.

The resulting product is then metallised in high-vacuum to visualise the holographic effect and its image.

4) Finishing

Depending on the client's needs, the metallised film or paper can then be coloured, laminated to other materials and adhesives, transformed in smaller reels or sheets, or die-cut.

Leonardus handles the complete production cycle within its facilities, from the creation of the hologram to the cutting of the final product to the desired size.
